Amigo’s

1:00 a.m. Curfew has reviewed Amigo’s.

“One reason people love Amigo’s is because the beers are relatively cheap. They don’t serve anything fancy – just beer, mixed drinks and shots. Prices are definitely lower than any surrounding bar. Don’t ask for a martini or a margarita – you’ll get a PBR. I’m not speaking from experience – you can see that glib, don’t-even-ask glare on the bartenders’ faces.”

Punky’s

The Press Herald has reviewed Punky’s.

“So thanks to Punky’s and other places like it in P-town, dear restaurateur, maybe I’ll be able to make it through this recession. Maybe, if I grab breakfast or lunch at Punky’s on a regular basis, I’ll save enough dough to be able to visit you again soon. Save me some Winter Point oysters. Please.”

The Front Room

Type A Diversions has reviewed The Front Room.

“While the comfort food-inspired cuisine is rather ho-hum at the Front Room, I can certainly understand the restaurant’s popularity. It’s the kind of neighborhood restaurant you can go and be completely comfortable. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, the food quality is consistent, and the prices can’t be beat.”

Back Bay Grill

Type A Diversions revisited Back Bay Grill and has written a new review for it.

“We enjoyed our dinner so much at The Back Bay Grill that it will now be on our short list of places to dine, rather than the once-or-twice a year visits we have done in the past. The service at The Back Bay Grill is highly professional; the wine list is the best in Portland; and the cuisine is exceptional.”
