The Press Herald has published a review of Taco Escobarr.
I would go back to Taco Escobarr in a heartbeat because the food here is, overall, very good. It’s a great new addition to downtown Portland, and a perfect alternative to fast food for those late-night munchies.
I was excited to try Escobarr and got a chance last week. Underwhelmed. Maybe it’s having lived in San Diego and had “authentic” tacos in many countries. The pork taco was good, but both beef tacos were not. Cilantro was apparently not washed as I felt like I was eating sand. Add on the poor service – did not offer me selection of salsas, did not give me both hot sauces and forgot my guac order and I am not making a return visit anytime soon. So sad. I was so excited about the potential. Maybe if I was 25 and looked more edgy service would have been different? Seemed so based on my visit.
