Food & Drink Certificate Classes
Registration is now open for the fall series of the Maine Food and Drink Certificate program. The certificate consists of a set of 5 classes on everything from bread to seafood to beer and wine and everything in between. The program is being offered both in Falmouth and in Portland. Maine magazine is set to debut this week with the official launch party taking place on Thursday. According to the their site the party will source food from “The Corner Room, Figa Restaurant, El Rayo Taqueria, and The Salt Exchange with signature drinks by mixologist, John Myers”.
A new article from MaineBiz reports that the 112-page premiere issue will include “a tour of six new Portland restaurants called ‘Eatland.'”

For an afternoon, Brown Street was transformed into a setting resembling an African market, with food and other vendors lining the street.
and the St Peter’s Italian Bazaar that started yesterday and continues on today.
The Italian bazaar began in 1926 and is the longest continuously running street festival in Portland, co-chair Ken Giaquinto said.
