Sabor Latino celebrated their Grand Opening on Saturday. The restaurant is located at 249 Saint John Street, formerly the home of Viet Bangkok Cuisine. They plan on serving Mexican, Salvadoran and Cuban food and the draft menu submitted to the city indicated they’d also be open for breakfast so perhaps Portland has one more destination for Sunday Brunch to try out.

Just ate there last night…..was warmly welcomed by this family operated restaurant. They are from El Salvador and the owner is very invested in attending to your every need. The food is fantastic….very fresh, good quality ingredients, and generous portions. It’s great to go to a small restaurant like this and have access to a full bar for cocktails! The wine was exceptional, “Cupcake” Malbec, not what one would expect in such a casual place, but this joint is full of surprises…can’t wait to go back and try the coconut flan or rice pudding and coffee….
