Pho Viet Restaurant opened last Friday. They’re located at 865 Forest Ave in the space formerly occupied by Mekong Asian Bistro. The restaurant features a bar and dining room overlooking Forest Ave as well as a second upper level dining area. They’re open daily, 11 am – 9 pm.
Owner Chau Dang and his team serve 10 different types of pho (vegetable, tofu, seafood, rare steak, etc), several other soups like Bun Bo Hue as well as a wide range of noodle salads, noodle and rice dishes, and stir fries. Shown above are a big bowl of shrimp pho, and a plate of the chicken spring rolls.

I visited the new Pho Viet restaurant on Forest Ave in Portland yesterday. Wonderful, experience with a great variety of appetizers, entrees and great service! Lunch was excellent too! I’ll be back soon.
My family and I stumbled across Pho Viet on Sunday August 9th…..it was hot but the restaurant was cool! We were greeted warmly and the food was incredible. We had 3 different soup dishes and all the broth tasted distinctly different and all delicious. I usually am a sauce girl and never once reached for any of the extras they have available on the table (my husband would say its a miracle) They portions were large and the prices reasonable. We live 2 hours away and will definitely making a stop back to try the banh mi and other selections!
