Miyake’s Move to Fore Street

Mainebiz has published a report on Miyake’s planned move to Fore Street.

The restaurant, owned by chef Masa Miyake and his business partner William Garfield, will leave 129 Spring St. and open at 468 Fore St. in May. The new dining room will be able to seat between 42 diners, up from 31 now, and fit 14 people at its sushi bar, according to General Manager Karl Deuben.

  1. RIP BYOB 🙁 One of my favorite aspects of eating at Miyake. West End Grocery is sure to see a dip in their sake sales.

  2. Congratulations team Miyake. You’ve done miraculous things with food over the last four years on Spring St., can’t wait to see what you cook up in your new space!

  3. There’s a huge typo in there- Miyake doesn’t currently have 30 employees, and I’m sure they’re not going to 45 or 50.

  4. Between all operations of the company there are currently 28 employees, but you are right that Spring street itself has only about 8 of those.
