Collin Henderson has announced he’ll be closing his restaurant Mesa Grande Taqueria. November 14th will be their last day in business. Henderson’s post on instagram reads in part,
It is with a heavy heart that we are announcing that our final day of business will be Saturday, November 14th. We opened in Portland with the primary goal to serve the community, provide good jobs, all within an inclusive space for staff and customers to share in fresh food made from scratch and with love. Despite our decision to close our doors due to rising costs and insufficient business we feel grateful to our consistent customers and dedicated staff for the past two and a half years.
Mesa Grande opened in May of 2024. It is located at 140 Fore Street. The Press Herald gave it 3½ star in review published in August 2024.
