Huong’s Vietnamese Restaurant (facebook) opened over the weekend. Huong’s is located at 267 Saint John Street in the space that, for a short time, had been the home of Vietnam Restaurant.
There’s no indication whether this Huong’s is connected to the restaurant with a similar name that used to be located on Cumberland Ave.
It is the same family that used to own the one on Cumberland Avenue.
The original pho joint in that spot was excellent until the owner went away for a long long time.
St.John St restaurants don’t inspire confidence
Huong’s (first location on Cumberland) had solid offerings back in the day and was a godsend when we moved to Portland. St. John St is just perfect for this and I feel hopefully optimistic that Huong can pull it off at this location. *fingers crossed*
