There are a pair of classes at Whole Foods on Wednesday on gluten-free living and on arranging cheese plates. Thursday night The Great Lost Bear is showcasing the beer of DL Geary Brewing. There are wine tastings scheduled this week at Black Cherry Provisions on Thursday and Whole Foods on Saturday. Portland's Sardine Industry

There’s a last minute addtion to the calendar for tonight. The South Portland Historical Society will host a program called “The Sardine Industry of Portland and South Portland in the 1900s.” They’ll be showing a documentary film and then will have an open discussion “among participants who either worked in, or lived near, the local sardine factories”. The event takes place at the South Portland City Hall tonight at 6:30.
