Baker’s Bench serves traditional American baked goods such as muffins and whoopie pies. The muffins are very good as are the cones, but my favorite item are the sugar- coated crunchy cinnamon sticks. Baker’s Bench also sells a limited menu of soups and sandwiches to a near constant stream of locals.

The Boston Globe called Scratch “a village bakery with Cheers-like camaraderie” in a profile they published about the bakery in 2010.

Scratch publishes a magazine called Baker’s Notes.
