The Maine Sunday Telegram has published an article about Guy O’Connell and the vineyard he operates in Portland.
Today, his lush micro-vineyard covers almost every inch of his small front and side yards. In August the vines are loaded with grapes. More vines mass and twine atop the pergola he installed that frames his front door. In the basement, O’Connell has set up a lab of sorts, where he experiments with making the approachable, low-tannin wines he likes to drink. He dreams of someday opening a micro-winery in Portland.
